The RCW (Reformed Church Women) has been meeting since the church was founded and promotes Bible studies, fellowship and help where needed.
We hold monthly Bible studies (where offerings are taken for a variety of different causes) and have studied a variety of different subjects:
We also hold three meetings a year outside of the monthly bible study and put on a program for Christmas. Officers are voted on each September and oversee different areas: researching bible study material, organizing the work groups and buying the library books.
Our Christmas program is put together by two of the officers and involves the Bell Choir and several others from the congregation. We invite the local Christian Reformed Church and there is a time of fellowship over a holiday lunch with decorated tables. The program is held the 1st Sunday night in December and is a great way to start off the Christmas season with Christ at the center.
We organize work groups to help with special events like anniversary lunches, first Sunday of the month coffee and cookies and serve lunches at funerals for the family. We usually host a supper as a fundraiser each year (along with some help from the men of the church). It has been a great time of fellowship and getting to know others in the church. The money is used to help local mission causes (such as Lost Timber Bible Camp, Center of Hope, etc.) and to help maintain our church library and kitchen. We also help financially with the bigger projects in the church like replacing carpets, sound and video system, repair of the grand piano, etc. In addition, we support an RCA missionary with quarter of a share.
